  1. But isn’t that only for 2 years while the Liberals do a study. This is so he can get elected again.

  2. Sorry Dalton… You shouldn’t have messed with our farms! It just made us look a little deeper and expose the scam. Let us know if you come up with an idea that really is green though. We want the best for Ontario as you can now see.

  3. Exactly. McGuinty and his gang had nothing to loose — no one suing over broken contracts. Politically the best face saving vote getting, let the voters give us credit for being so understanding, and McGuinty can’t be all that bad if he listens to us, move. Let us not forget they have no intention of any permanent step away from their green energy program.

  4. All the effort people put into stopping the IWTs on the lakes will not be soon forgotten!!!

  5. While grateful for temporary offshore
moratorium, my concern is that these
morons will now ramp up approvals for
land projects in order to make up for
    lost offshore capacity.

  6. Welcome back madasabat. Yes I am afraid you are right. They insist that the studies have been done! You know… the bias studies done by the wind companies.

  7. It would have made sense to approve some onshore projects to counter the bad press of Friday’s announcement but in some private conversations we have with the Ministry of Energy they give the impression they are stiill trying to figure out the process. There also be a dozen or so Liberal MPPs who should be lobbying hard to hold off. The impact of the two legal challenges remain as an adverse decision for them would have immeasurable legal and political ramifications. Plus. if the MicroFIT decisions are any guide, the cost impact of FIT connection tests will be enormous.

  8. Expect this is news around the world. The wind turbine developers and their eco-nut promoters were sailing along just fine until they reached Ontario where Ontarians started asking intelligent questions about what wind turbines could actually do and how much they will cost Ontarians.

Ontarians have determined that wind turbines are a bad deal. Wind turbines are bad for economic, scientific, environmental and health reasons.

If the present government had done the necessary “homework” IWTs would have been rejected on any or all of the stated reasons above.

Instead they moved foreward with the installation of IWTs for political reasons.

The purpose of the Ontario Hydro system is to provide electricity to the public at cost so that all can afford to have electricity. The installation of IWTs will make it impossible for all to have affordable electricity due to skyrocketing costs caused by the installation of IWTs in Ontario.

    Well, not quite Barbara…

The Danes, Germans, Spanish and Dutch just to name a few have had enough as well.

We just didn’t wait the decades they all did before we starting shouting!
