Huron County Council passes motion for moratorium on wind developments

On June 1st, 2011,Huron County Council passed a motion in support of a moratorium on industrial wind projects by a vote of 9 for, and 6 opposed.

MOTION:   Moved by: Councillor B. Barnim and Seconded by: Councillor B. Siemon:
THAT: Huron County Council agree to support a moratorium on the further development of industrial wind turbines in Huron County until more health studies are completed. CARRIED

  2. The act of a courageous Council willing to take a stand for preservation and protection.

  3. Another notch of discontent this arrogant or is it stupid (I am not quite sure yet) Liberal government will find hard to ignore. Congratulations Huron County Council……the nine of you anyway……for you six there are some abandoned homes you can move into real cheap. There is free landscaping paid for by IPC until the contract runs out anyways.
