Green groups are not guardians of the planet, they are shakedown artists

by Peter Foster, Financial Post
Excerpt:  Organizations such as ForestEthics, Greenpeace and RAN are not guardians of the planet, they are shakedown artists. They have set themselves up as “social licensers” of corporations without any licence of their own. Their methods in pursuit of saving the Earth are not that different from those of the Mafia. They are running a global protection racket. The alleged “collaboration” of ENGOs with the corporate sector has led more radical greens to accuse them of selling out. In fact, the ENGOs haven’t been corrupted by the prospect of institutional size and political power. That was always their main aim.  Read the entire article here

Ontario Power Authority Discussed in the Legislature:
In 2004, when you created the Ontario Power Authority, you said that your energy LHIN was supposed to be independent and would take the politics out of electricity. But everyone knows Ben Chin is a big Liberal. The sunshine list reveals that Chin’s salary went from $112,000 per year to $185,000 per year when he left your office to dream up PR schemes for the OPA. His most recent one is a promotional giveaway of air miles to the first 150,000 families who will pledge to become “laundry smart.”http://www.waterkeeper.ca/2010/04/19/ontario-power-authority-discussed-in-ontario-legislature/
