Too much wind has blown away an anti-wind power protest scheduled for Port Elgin on Saturday.

Residents opposed to wind farm development along the Lake Huron shoreline, and against a wind turbine in Port Elgin sponsored by the Canadian Auto Workers, had planned the demonstration.

But they had to cancel when Environment Canada issued a wind alert, warning of gusts exceeding 100 kilometres an hour….

Opponents of wind developments say the big turbines can cause health problems and lower property values.
