Nevada solar facility/farm relies on $54 M subsidy and employs 5 workers. More than $10 M/worker. Dosen’t make a whole lot of sense.
Sarnia solar power plant took 950 acres of farm land out of food production to produce 80 MW of unreliable electricity. But how much electricity will really be produced there?

“Hardee gets solar farms”
Hardee County to get 10 20MW solar farms at $70M each. This will create five new jobs per solar farm for a total of 50 jobs including engineers, maintenance, groundskeepers and security crews. Each solar farm ~ 140 acres/farm.
Expensive jobs at ~ $14M per job to create.
Expect the same outcome in Ontario when it comes to full time new jobs created by solar farms. Wind and solar projects create only part time construction jobs and not full time jobs.

When we hear the real stories instead of the flib flab BS from the politicians it’s a wonder there aren’t pitchforks and torches marching on Queen’s Park!
I have reblogged this at ontariofarmlandpreservation.org
And soon 800 acres of productive farm land to be covered by solar panels in Haldimand County. Thanks McGuinty and Samsung!

“The regulatory system designed to steer society through an energy efficiency revolution isn’t working”
Same thing is happening in Ontario.
I think the day is fast approaching when we will have civil unrest, the likes of which have never been seen before in this province.. This can’t go on much longer before something has to give…Only my opinion….
You are not the only one with this opinion. Civil unrest is fast approaching in many communities.
‘tight’ is the word I use to describe the tension in our area.
