  1. Some history – ‘friends’ – you gotta have ‘friends’ – first
    Background

Vineland Power Inc. (VPI) was formed in 2009 by long‐time friends and business associates Martin Langbroek, Larry Dykstra and Darrell Boer, residents and successful business men in Niagara.

After successfully navigating the initial development stages for the HAF wind project and obtaining a power purchase ageement through Ontario’s Feed-in-Tariff program, Vineland Power Inc. decided to bring in partners to diversify and strengthen the project team. In the fall of 2011 the HAF Wind Energy project and Vineland Power Inc. was sold to a consortium made up of Loeffen Farms, Rankin Construction Inc. and IPC Energy maintaining the local ownership of the project while introducing considerable benefits to the project and the community.

Together this team contains extensive agricultural, construction, development and environmental knowledge and experience as well as a local perspective looking to do what is best for the region where they work and live.

    HAF?

  2. How close are the homes of the owners and staff of ALL of the above mentioned businesses to any of the proposed Industrial Wind Power plants? I think the Loeffen’s are still in Wainfleet so are potentially part of the up to 15% who will be negatively impacted. I hope for their own sakes they have no children who are effected.
Like the rest of us their property values will suffer, but guess that will be offset by the tax dollars they receive from the rest of us.

  3. I have visited Vineland many times. It’s a real shame to think it could be ruined by these wind turbines. Best of luck at your meeting.
