Nextera shooting for a parking lot open house meeting?

Does this look like a FINAL Public Meeting, venue to be hosted by the largest wind company in North America: Nextera? Yes, those heavy duty picnic tables are bolted down to the concrete pad.

What’s next, Nextera- Parking Lot Meetings? Pasture Open Houses?

Please come and protest this incompetent, inconsiderate company.
Date: July 11th

Certainly if it is nice and hot people will be less likely to show up at the open house. Score 1 for Nextera.

    Even better if it rains.
    Score 1 for Nextera.

REALLY awesome if it is windy. That way the easels they use to show their diagrams, maps and other propaganda will blow over. Oops sorry Mr., Mrs. Citizen.
    Score 1 Nextera.

Nice and open. It will feel less formal and more inconsequential. You know that open, airy feeling.
    Score 1 for Nextera.

I cannot believe that there is not a usable venue in the area. Gymnasium, Lion or Kin Hall, arena etc. Instead of building turbines they should build you all a meeting space.

Actually, this is beside the very nice Ailsa Craig Community Centre. Nextera forgot to book the room and just realized this on Friday…. so instead of admitting their mistake, they did a “get ‘er done” by thinking that this shack outside should suffice!

  2. All the better for the Police to keep a watchful eye on the “rural hicks” that are so dangerous!
After all there might be a paper drive-by or worse, a sign with a stick holding it up!
Someone should study the ropes that are holding the tent together……….make sure the tie downs don’t come loose and have the tent “fold up” on the goofs!

Zer vill be consequenzes for zos whose paperse ahre not in ordare.

Ah, may be a good place to fly weather balloon at the height of an IWT and use a megaphone to broadcast the noise that these turbines can make. After all, everyone’s out in the open and would make great listen. Bring your ear plugs. Just a thought.
Have a good one and “Keep your stick on your sign”
