“This summer on the Bridge, we’re talking about some of the interesting research being done at the University of Windsor. This afternoon, Colin Novak joins me. Colin teaches Automotive and Material Engineering at the University of Windsor. And He’s in the process of figuring out how Wind Turbines actually affect human beings. Listen here”

Ontario Wind Turbine Map

This is incredible. It is so refreshing to hear a scientist speaking the truth objectively, without any evidence of that kool aid that has infected politicians and their ilk.
Who knew?
Ontario – noise pollution
High pressure from low frequency noise –
can move your organs – around in your body.
Anxiety – is an understatement –
This type of noise pollution slowly destroys the human body –
a fact – well known to some scientists.
If this is happening in Ontario – no wonder citizens feel uncomfortable.
Did I misunderstand the interview?
Note to “Free Thinker” Unfortunately, I don’t think you did!! …. “misunderstand the interview” that is. And Arlene King is the authority our government is depending on??? Shameful!! Cut a few more billions from our health-care system Dalton! We won’t need it now that our electrical generating systems are “going green”!!
Ohhhhh………………..
It’s a: ‘reading comprehension’ problem!

This is what caught my eye:
Dr. Novak says because wind turbines are now an integral part of the landscape and an important source of future power generation, ongoing research on noise, vibration and efficiency is essential.
“If we carefully monitor the vibration and noise wind turbines generate we are well-positioned to minimize their impact on people. Wind energy is a constantly evolving technology that will have an impact on the lives of everyone – not just in our immediate community but around the world.”
Wind power will never be “important” — except in the eyes of people suffering Green Blindness… The numbers are not there — the intermittency is uncontrollable…
Second: Perhaps the majority of the infrasound will be found to be generated by interference patterns (beat notes) — at the moment I do not see any mitigating technology…

If I had to guess …
I would say the University group will be a proving ground and showpiece for Bruel sensors and data gathering equipment — essentially the “marketing arm”… Bruel will still have their salesman or manufacturers rep close the sale though…
I did go through the web site — that’s how I read it.
Kinda neat though… Vesta Makes the problem, Bruel measures it — and who fixes it? — Probably nobody.
Just sayin’
Hopefully the Wind Industry will leave these folks alone so they can be objective in their research. After listening to the interview it would appear the people that are reporting adverse effects from living near these Turbines are not just imagining it and apparently not suffering from an “attitude” issue.
The long term objective of this new centre is to make it easier to install IWTs. IWTs will still pose bird & bat casualities and energy poverty issues will still be there. By spreading kms of wires all over the Province there is certain risk that severe storms will destroy the power grid needed for IWTs or at least parts of the renewables grid will be destroyed. Backup power is still needed & no mitigation of CO2. The only thing possible here is that “quiter” turbines could be built.
The effects of infrasound on livening species need to be studied and exposed. Be the news good or bad, it still needs an unbiased investigation. Other environmental issues associated with IWTs will continue to affect the quality of life for humans, animals and infrastructure. Due to the inefficiencies of wind generation dependable backup systems will always be needed. It’s just the stupidity of McGuinty that we’re going down this road to ruin at all.
I have further information. At this point I can’t say too much but don’t look for this group to be a game changer. It could be — but there are some issues that probably can’t be overcome — based on previous experience.
Psst!
Hey WillR,
Abnormal behaviour is a norm – in Ontario.
I’m wearing my trench coat – and, oh yeah,
I got my nails done today.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Do you cheat @ golf?
I’m perfectly fine – I can almost touch the sky.
I hope you understand.
The silver moon is in the left hand pocket of the ugly dwarf. There will be no lemon cheese tonight. Pass it on.
Sorry that is all I can say.
I just think people should not get their hopes up that much will change. It was great interview that seemed to raise some hopes. Put a sock in them for now.
Hey,
Any day can be an adventure!
Come follow me:
I was called to a very important business meeting.
When I arrived, a guy pointed to a ladder –
I was to climb – to get to the office – of the person I was meeting.
So I did.
Then I heard the ladder being removed.
It ended up being an ordinary business meeting.
I left the same way I arrived.
Sometimes you can’t judge –
although your heart just thumped!
Keep the faith!
Finally!
Glory! Glory! Halleluiah!

Re: interview
….as a reminder – Colin Novak is working along with a scientist/doctor from Japan.

Not bad!
FT:
What do you know about the Engineers “Duty to Report” where an issue affects public health and safety? Have you checked the PEO web Site?
Just asking…
FT:
You nailed a bit of it.Keep speculating — there’s more — a lot more!
Do you recall the Fuss made about the U Waterloo group? Dr. Bigelow got nowhere and most people (perhaps none) would not let him in their home. There was no trust.
Further the U Waterloo group were unwilling to share the data since they would be collecting medical data and would be bound by the Laws and Regulations affecting the collection and distribution of that data. So we could not see if the data were valid without getting a trusted researcher in on it. Even then the trusted researcher could not share most of the raw (medical) data. How did that work out? Hmmm?
The Doctor from Japan — can he practice here? If not — he is not bound by Canadian laws to the same degree as a Canadian Doctor licensed to work in Ontario.
The link to the Professor ratings tells you more about why it will go nowhere.
So, unless the Health Canada people will be bringing him in and certifying the Japanese doctor — I can’t see him being allowed to practice here. If he can’t practice then he can’t see the personal data.
I was just going to post a note saying that I was not going to post anymore and that you could figure this out for yourself — well — you’re most/some/ half? of the way there — just keep speculating.
Maybe you should pick up the phone and call him — his number is on his web page — tell him you are one of the affected and ask him to sell you on the idea of letting him into your home to collect data. Let me know how it works out and what you think of the guy.
Cheers!
Those who are really passionate about this issue should use this interview in every sense of the word.
If you can, post a comment at the many newspaper and magazine articles and refer people to this interview.
It is CBC — it is a university Prof and the guy is an engineer. Use this relentlessly.
I can’t see this group going anywhere — but that does not mean that this snippet cannot be used — so, copy the interview to preserve it, present it to anybody who will listen — promote it and promote it hard. Shove it down the throats of your detractors if you have to.
Tell people it proves you were right all along.
Never give up.
I have no idea who runs this web site but I have a recommendation to you as well. See my last post. Sticky that radio button on the front page forever — refer everyone to it.
Put up a permanent story with no comments allowed — short sweet and to the point. Tell all the doubters to listen to the story.
