Prince Edward County Council says it does not support a proposed wind turbine project in South Marysburgh Ward.
At their regular meeting last night… County Council decided a consultants report was incomplete… and they needed more information on the impact turbines will have on both heritage sites and environmental sites.
Council also decided… if the project goes ahead… they will ask for a 200-thousand dollar deposit per turbine to make sure the company takes them down.
The proposed White Pines Wind Project would scatter 29 turbines across South Marysburgh…and is the subject of a big lawsuit by area residents.
