Ministry of Natural Resources aka Mid Night (eagle nest) Raiders
Bald eagles build a nest right in the way of the wind company’s turbines, and in the tree the wind company was going to cut down to make a road. Stupid bird, eh? Hey don’t worry, that can all be fixed, because the MNR is really good at nest removal— that is part of their job description (???) for when a company from Florida wants to develop the area and darnit, these birds think they can live here? Geeze, they are as bad as the locals, thinking they have a right to live in a safe and healthy and environment!
Protest anyone???

That should be included in all no-turbines protests, big signs showing the callous treatment of our precious wildlife, so the rich corporations can make even more money. The public needs to have their noses rubbed in this as well so that they don’t keep thinking this scam is a “good thing:.We have a protest coming up Sunday, and another even larger on for the 26th of Jan. when they choose a new scapegoat, er, I mean leader.
Hey, Chevy – top right of this page – click on events and get your protests listed. Then more of us might know about it and maybe plan to join you. The more events going on, and the more we know about them – it’s encouraging for everyone. We feel more like a large group and less like lonely souls, crying unheard in the wilderness.
BTW – Sandra Pupatello is making the rounds in her efforts to be the next Lib leader. Check her website signup4sandra.ca or http://sandraforleader.ca/ . She’s coming to a town near you and she’s a strong candidate. Check out her rural ontario page – not a thing about turbines.
We talked to Kathleen Wynn for about two hours on the facts tonight, but to what avail, we shall see. I would not trust a liberal considering the situation they put us in. But a majority government is not likely, so we need to harass All of them.
Midnight Raiders?
Hang on now — this story makes no sense.
You’re talking about a Government Employee — working outside the Hours of 9-5 (with an hour for lunch) You know that — right?
Highly unlikely!!!!!
I’m sure they will someday find a way to make the process more efficient — like just knock over the tree and fugedaboutit! Skip the paperwork… like why bother — we’re saving the planet! Right?
More like
Mallicious Nest Raiders!!
Why are there no tree huggers coming out to chain themselves to this tree? Why do they not join the cause — they did it for an owl — so why discriminate for an endangered eagle? Oh sorry, I guess the MSM is not jumping all over this one and they only thrive on the PR to get their picture in the paper. The supporting NGO parasites living off charitable and non-profit green environmentalism on the taxpayers dime supporting the carpetbaggers and helping to destroy the very environment they are preaching to save.
Karen – this was posted late last night – I saw this early Sat morning – Sat about 7:35:00 am just as I was leaving for work. We could not believe that this could actually happen – It was our understanding that if an eagles nest was in the vicinity of where a turbine would be placed that the turbine would be moved as it was supposed to be 800 meters from a IWT – never in our wildest dreams would we know that the MNR would issue a permit to take out the nest. This is the most horrific day that we have experienced thus far in this insanity – please do not criticize the residents of Haldimand – we are all in shock today – It there was any sort of advance notice I am sure that many would have taken the opportunity to chain themselves to the “Cotttonwood tree” that was also taken out today.!!
YUP!
I always thought MNR stood for “Ministry of No Refusals”
Since the advent of the Green Energy Act…..IT DOES!
