  1. The Haldimand County Council in Committee will be meeting Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 9:30 AM. The SWEB snake oil salesmen will be there to make a presentation, which starts at 1:00 PM. Council will vote on the matter on Monday, June 22, 2015. Council declared the county to be an Unwilling Host in a letter to Premier Wynne on Feruary 14, 2013 stating: “NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that Haldimand County Council will not be providing local municipal support to any application that will construct industrial wind turbines in Haldimand County.”

We need to hold the council’s feet to the fire to insure they hold to their commitment.

    • All this unwilling silliness Such a Wyn pee wording.
Simply say no consent given by the majority
Top it all off if any contracts are signed by legal names of hosts it is all fraud.
A crime as it is all copyright names they are not allowed to use.
      Only B.A.R members are allowed.
Start asking questions, start as an investigative reporter do your due diligence
you know you cannot trust government so why are we believing the legal name is ours, just because they made it that way.
Liars, and without full disclosure they are dead with these contracts.
Wake up people.your getting what you deserve then.
They do not give a hoot. All because we just will not wake up to the truth
You stand in truth you have nothing to fear.

    • “Hold council’s feet to the fire”…is one of Ten Principles For Escaping The Matrix And Standing Up to Tyranny

most important is to become conscious how the plantation owners enslave us…

With the methods of mind manipulation available to the corporate state, the very nature of democratic government has been changed….”[T]he quaint old forms—elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of nonviolent totalitarianism. All the traditional names, all the hallowed slogans will remain exactly what they were in the good old days. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial . . . Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite of soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit.”

  2. Show concerned people the FERC document about transmission line costs and who has to pay for these costs. Copies can be made.

This ruling is a public document so anyone can talk about it. Is this kind of information available to Ontarians or is it considered by the present government to be confidential?

Transmission lines have to be built for renewable energy projects. Both go together.

  3. Yes – the document can by printed out – were you thinking all 600 pages or just a few parts? lol

Besides – it’s an American document? If there is a Canadian equivalent that might actually have some relevance?

    • The FERC ruling itself is only a few pages. Can copy all or parts

It’s unknown if there is a Canadian/Ontario equivalent available to the public.

The issue here is that documents associated with renewable energy project costs are public in the U.S.

An idea of how much money can be made from transmission lines is available.

      RTO Insider, April 14, 2015

‘MISO TO’s seek base ROE of 11.39%’

ITC Holdings is a MISO member and at present gets 12.38% ROE, but this present rate is expected to go down when FERC rules on the pending transmission rate case.

The FERC documents related to this rate case are online but are many pages long.

ITC Holdings is the project developer of the Lake Erie HVDC Connector transmission line.

    ITC Lake Erie Connector Project

    Scroll down to:
    Open Soliticitation Process

‘If, through the open solicitation process, it becomes evident the transmission line could be oversubscribed, ITC will explore opportunities to increase the capacity of the Lake Erie connector.”

Project now at 1,000 MW but could be increased.

This project is in Haldimand, but affects all.

Renewable energy projects are of no use unless there are transmission lines as well.

There is more information on this subject.

This transmission line is between Canada and the U.S. so U.S. information is relevant.

    • NEB Lake Erie Connector Project, May, 2015 file, Use the above link.

      Part 3, Section 3

Pp. 3-11&12 Operational Planning, Footnote links to IESO, 16,18,19 on Auctions & Capacity Supply.

      Section 3, p.14

“Development of an Ontario cap-and-trade scheme could further spur the trade of RECs or REC-like products between Ontario and other jurisdictions, including PJM. The Project will facilitate such trade.”

There is quite a bit of information in this Connector Project filing and some of the information is complicated.

Part 3 is a good place to begin for general information on the project.

More than one financial “benefit” included with this Project.

  5. When the Lake Erie Connector line is finished control of the line will be turned over to IESO and PJM.

  6. Darn right there’s an insider information issue here, Barbara!
We’ve only been talking about it for how many years???
    For crying out loud!

    • Very true. Talking about this for years now.

Now information is available in writing at the federal level in both countries.

How much did or would IESO reveal about this situation?

This is a billion dollar project.

    • The transmission line construction/tie between Montana and Alberta did trigger a U.S. Inspector General’s inquiry.
