Citizens call for CAW turbine shutdown

Many residents who say their worlds have been turned upside down since the wind turbine at the CAW Family Education Centre turned on, had their stories heard at Saugeen Shores town council Monday night.

And it appears as if councillors are ready to do everything they can to make the lives of these citizens return to normal.

Approximately 20 weeks ago, members of Saugeen Turbine Operation Policy (STOP) started documenting complaints from residents who have seen a dramatic shift in their physical and mental well-being since the Canadian Auto Workers’ (CAW) wind turbine in Port Elgin began operational.  Read article

  1. CAW probably needs the $$$$ from the turbine to stay afloat. Recently they joined up with 2 other unions to make their existence feasible as the membership is dwindling.
WHAT they don’t get is that their membership is likely going down because of the cost of manufacturing, etc., BECAUSE corporations can do their business MUCH cheaper elsewhere. Part of that problem are the sky high electricity prices in Ontario. Duh.

    • I tell you when you get a hydro bill with a “oh well let’s add 4 cents to the global benefit this month” and when you consume bulk supply of hydro. It is horrible, then you think if this carries on for many months….layoffs are inevitable. idiots the lot of them. It truly is becoming a “my work is done Province”.

  2. Unions have fallen for the B.S. that a new Ontario industy,IWTs & Solar manufacturing, can be created by artificial means like passing laws to create an artifical demand for a products that are not needed or wanted and thus creating jobs.
The artificial demand is created by requiring the goods created by laws be forced onto others/sold to unwilling buyers.
Subsidies and tax breaks are used to make these kinds of schemes work.

The North American auto unions hooked-up with environmental activists who are determined to destroy the auto industry here. Result is loss of jobs and decline of the auto unions.
This is this blue-green alliance and such other organizations.

  3. In the past I have been sympathetic to both unions and environmental movements, but wind turbines have completely changed the landscape. From now on I will view any organization with suspicion. Where do they get their money? Who is on their payroll? What causes do they support or oppose? The entire political landscape has been corrupted and no one wants to admit that they are on the wrong side!

    • Check out CAW’s environmental policy – Agenda 21.
The organization, much like our government, fantasizes
      thousands of green (union) jobs.

      • ….ain’t what she used to be……many long years ago!

Note: Kyoto Protocol = Agenda 21

CUPE is proud to be associated with Tides Canada and this very important initiative. Read the news release below, which oulines how CUPE and other labour unions are calling on all levels of Canadian government to develop a Clean Energy Accord.

According to the Tides Canada website, the document is “a collaborative, solutions-focused call for federal, provincial, and aboriginal governments to embrace the responsibility and opportunity of developing a bold new energy strategy for Canada. It outlines the high-level policy priorities that a number of Canadian energy leaders told us any such plan should address.”

        What’s wrong in Ontario?

      • <<>>>

        wealth re-distribution by mob rule.

take your money and run before they steal it all by fees, taxes, inflation.
sell. downsize. move in with the kids. spend winters in warmer climes where your $s buy you more. when it$ gone, become wards of the state living off handouts like the unionists.

      • Fooled into thinking there will be jobs by creating an artifical demand for IWTs.

Both wind and sun do not have enough energy per square metre to harvest to supply energy needs. MAYBE sometime in the future it will be feasable to store wind and solar energy.
One idea out there is to move people to urban areas where they consume less energy like living in apartments, walking, mass transit, etc.
Rural Ontarians are dealing with a pack of fools and knaves.

People who walk and use urban transit don’t need cars and they are not supposed to travel to anyplace where cars would be needed to get there.

So, ALL employees of courts, governments, law enforcement, banks, collection agents, IRS, CRA, etc., as of September 1st, 2013, will be held accountable for crimes against humanity which include: refusal to settle accounting; and, prosecution of fraudulent claims.
I’d be sure to have him mail me a certified copy of his Oath of Office –his swearing of which I hereby accept, two pieces of his government-issued ID, and his Public Hazard Bond, listing the underwriter’s name, address, and policy number, which, by law, he is under obligation to do. (see: CCC §337). He is to govern himself accordingly if I were being harassed by any entity for my cash, I would send a letter to the man behind the fiction/ corporation/ ‘person’, suggesting he quit, with a copy of the Apostolic Letter issued by Pope Francis, July 11th, 2013.
