NORWICH TOWNSHIP – The group against the Gunn’s Hill wind turbine project want potential investors to know if the wind farm goes forward legal action will be taken. The East Oxford Community Alliance’s lawyer Eric Gillespie issued a press release Tuesday stating a draft $28-million legal claim was forwarded to Prowind Canada Inc., Gunn’s Hill Windfarm Inc. and landowners that are leasing land to the developer.

“The $28 million figure reflects the losses that could potentially be incurred by residents so it is a calculated amount based on the value of their properties and what they could lose,” Eric Gillespie, a Toronto-based environmental lawyer said. Gillespie is working on multiple cases involving wind turbine farms across Ontario.

He recently filed a similar lawsuit for neighbours located near the site of a proposed wind turbine in the Creemore area. That lawsuit was dismissed by the court without prejudice because the project had not yet received the final approval from the Ministry of the Environment. Gillespie said if Prowind receives a Renewable Energy Approval (REA) from the MOE the suit will be filed. Read article

  1. Wow! What a coincidence!

Listen to the similarity of the voices of Dr. Chris Ollson at the Alberta Utility Commission, on October 30, 2013: (starting at 2:30)

and “Chris” making “arguments” to Tom Adams on CBC yesterday: (at 13:15)

    In other comparisons….
“Chris” calling in to CBC wasn’t much concerned about the effects of his rising electricity bill…whereas most of the rest of the callers described having to choose between heating and eating.

Perhaps “Chris” has lots of cash?

  2. An open letter to Justin Trudeau:

Your father Pierre with respect for human rights and equality said, “There’s no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation.” Nor is there place in our bedrooms for industrial wind turbines.

But as you know the President of your Liberal Party, Mike Crawley, is intruding into our homes and penetrating our bodies as we lie in bed at night. He doesn’t disclose that he’s inflicting a lethal dose of toxic industrial wind turbine emissions on non-consenting Canadians — some being exposed at 350 metres.

These are injuries, a violation of our right to life, liberty and security.

What’s more– the perpetrators act with intent, understanding there are consequences. The harm we sustain, they allege, is outweighed by “the utility” of industrial wind energy. And so we should bite our lip and take it. But still, it hurts.

Please, help protect us from Mike Crawley.

    Nous sommes désespérés…
