On June 12, 2013, the Minister of Energy directed the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) to make changes to the FIT Program, including removing large projects (larger than 500kW) from the program and developing a new competitive procurement process that considers input from stakeholders, municipalities and First Nation and Métis communities to help identify appropriate locations and siting requirements for these projects.

Following a dialogue with stakeholders and communities, the OPA provided the Minister of Energy with the “Development of a New Large Renewable Procurement Process – Initial Engagement Feedback and Interim Recommendations” report on August 30, 2013. Thank you to those who provided feedback during the engagement process and helped shape the development of the interim recommendations.

You are invited to participate in a webinar being held on December 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. to review the interim recommendations report as well as the next steps in the engagement and procurement design processes. The webinar will begin with a presentation and will be followed by a Question and Answer session where participants will be able to ask questions and provide feedback either by phone or on the web.
