CBC: Should Canada count on wind power?

A new wind farm has come on line on the coast of B.C. It follows recent commitments to wind power projects in P.E.I., and amidst continuing discussions about the production of wind energy in Ontario. We debate the question: “Should Canada invest in wind power as a significant source of power?” And as always we welcome your comments below as well.

  1. No mention of the millions of birds – including endangered species – and bats that are slaughtered by the turbines; and barely a hint of the horrendous health effects for many humans and other mammals. Why does CBC not get on, and stay on, the most important subject: the harmful effects on actual living beings?

  2. Make sure to look at the comments: Almost all people are Anti Wind. That is good for us, but CBC has otherwise been missing in action on this issue!

Also, if you get a chance, send an Email to CBC, to other shows, asking them to cover Health Impacts of Wind Turbines.

Here are two shows to target:

    – Fresh Air, weekend Ontario show: http://www.cbc.ca/freshair/‎, https://www.facebook.com/cbcfreshair

    – Your local CBC
