  1. Thank you so much to all the people who braved the wind and bitter cold, to join us at Queen’s Park, for a demonstration against the tyrannical behaviour of the corrupt Liberal government. Our children, our families, our homes, and our livelihoods, have all be put in harms way, for NO net benefit to anyone but greedy wind pushers. Kathleen Wynne, has lost whatever moral compass she might have had. Her behaviour is outrageous, and despicable! We let them know, that we are NOT going away…..SHE IS!!

  2. I was there. Victims and potential victims have to travel all that way… to appeal to the Ministry of the Environment, and Ministry of Health… to preserve their personal health.

Victim is not the wrong word either. We are all victims, subjected to continuous noise, vibration, and flickering lights during the day, and blinking lights at night.

    This is just absurd.

    • We will get turbines in the spring/summer (Samsung project). We are “lucky”, it is our cottage, not our primary residence. Summers have less wind too, but I’m still nervous. Certainly I will be measuring our place BEFORE and AFTER.

      • Yes, Richard, this is what we all will need to do. We need to carefully compile evidence of the damage through adverse health effects to all family members and visitors. We also need to compile evidence of the reduction of our property value.
We need to alert people throughout rural Ontario to the importance of diligently observing negative effects as the projects that have already been approved are being constructed.
On a larger scale, the reduction in tourist dollars for businesses will alsol be evidence of the damage being done.
I would think that this is precisely the sort of evidence needed for a massive, province wide class action lawsuit.

  3. Hey Chevy, it can never be too cold to spend a day calling out the Wind Weasels.

    Thanks for doing this.

    • That’s EXACTLY what he said at the Mon. Feb. 24 protest, with all participants as witness.

  4. Right Richard. It is absurd!

All for the sake of making money at someone elses expense. You stand to lose the enjoyment of and value of your summer home which you worked hard to obtain.

The point of these protests is to keep these issues in public view and requires a lot of effort on the part of those who are able to participate in these events.

  5. Here is the comment I posted to TheWhig. (Someone else posted about “Willful Blindness” before. That’s what it is.)

Wind proponents still have not addressed the health impacts:

*Canadian Family Physician (2013) “Adverse health effects of industrial wind turbines”,
*British Medical Journal (2012). “Wind turbine noise”.
*Canadian Journal of Rural Medicine (2014). “Industrial wind turbines and adverse health effects”.

Our government (Environment, Health ministries) are ignoring this evidence.

    Lawyers call this “Willful Blindness”.

Def’n (Wikipedia) Willful blindness (sometimes called ignorance of law, willful ignorance or contrived ignorance or Nelsonian knowledge) is a term used in law to describe a situation where an individual seeks to avoid civil or criminal liability for a wrongful act by intentionally putting himself in a position where he will be unaware of facts that would render him liable.

  6. Even 5 or 6 people with signs at QP at any time will do the job. Just keep this in the public view as much as possible.

  7. Many thanks to all who helped organize the protest in Toronto and indeed to all who braved the bitterly cold day. It is indeed absurd Richard. Sometimes I feel like I am living in “the Twilight Zone”.
But, we raised our voices once again yesterday, telling our Government we are not going away until this situation is resolved. We have a wonderful opportunity on the horizon with the DRENNAN court case. Julian Falconer is on the case, he and his associates make a formidable team. I urge you all to support this worthy endeavour.

    • Perhaps the Charter case is our last hope.

In the meantime, I we all have to live in this “twilight zone” as correctly you call it.

      Anyway, keep up the fight.

    • Thank you for standing up and using your voice to bear witness to the truth. You are a strong woman and I am awed by your strength to bear this ongoing assault. Your experience is the reason I will continue to advocate for resolution, restitution and justice.

Rights are to be equal to all and with them come responsibilities. Demand your rights and protect them. Use them or lose them. Failing to do this allows the trespass to continue.

Protecting all members of our communities is what this conflict is all about.
Thank you Norma. I stand behind your lead and am carried forward by your witness. I will remain with you in every way that I can in this journey.

  8. Congrats to the Ontario people for standing up.

I just ran across this article and I thought it would be an interesting read. You must read the comment by Richard Irby. There’s some insight !

Climate Parasites: The Answer to ‘Climate Change Deniers’

    By William A. Levinson

It is a basic principle of psychological warfare that the side that controls the language of the argument controls the argument. Barack Obama’s ownwebsite is using this PsyWar technique by calling opponents of his cap and trade agenda “climate change deniers.” He has also used the financial resources of the federal government, such as, to marginalize everybody who doesn’t agree with him as a climate change denier.

Democrats Sheldon Whitehouse, Harry Reid, and Peter DeFazio also have followed Joseph Goebbels’s advice to the effect that if you tell a big lie vigorously and often enough, people will believe it. All have used the phrase “climate change deniers,” on websites paid for by the federal government, to spread the message that anybody who opposes the cap and trade scam is a knuckle-dragging troglodyte.

No educated and rational person denies, contrary to the implication of “climate change deniers,” that climate change is part of the Earth’s geological history. The advance and retreat of the glaciers, for example, gave us the Finger Lakes, Great Lakes, and Pocono Mountains. What we deny is the proposition that the expenditure of trillions of dollars, with a large share falling into the pockets of climate parasites like Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan Chase, and the late but unlamented Solyndra, Lehman Brothers, Chicago Climate Exchange, and Enron will prevent, or even mitigate significantly, adverse climate change. As stated openly by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY):

An infrastructure is already beginning to form, as entities like the New York Stock Exchange, J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and the new Green Exchange are developing carbon trading platforms or expanding their environmental trading desks. There are nearly 100 funds already focused on green investments.

This, boys and girls, is the real agenda of the global warming alarmists, whom this article names officially as “climate parasites” in answer to “climate change deniers.” This applies the ancient psychological principle, which was once described as magic, that the power to name a thing is the power to control or destroy it.

    The Power of Names

A dragon, for example, offered the protagonist of Ursula LeGuin’s A Wizard of Earthsea, “If you could name it you could master it, maybe, little wizard. Would you like to know its name?” This name was a secret name like Rumpelstiltskin’s, but the mundane implications are far simpler. If you know the true nature of somebody or something, you can control him or it. If you can apply a lasting, memorable, and accurate name to somebody, you can destroy him. Allied propagandists used this principle during the Second World War when they named General Fedor von Bock “Der Sterber” (“Let’s go get killed”) after his callous remarks to the effect that it was the duty of the German soldier to die gloriously for the Fatherland.

Climate Parasites, Indulgence Sellers, and Rainmakers

The name “climate parasites” performs two jobs with exactly two words. It derails completely the enemy’s position that our side consists of people who are totally ignorant of climate science, or choose to ignore it. We acknowledge without hesitation that climate change is a proven fact of nature. The name also, however, marginalizes the other side by putting its members into the same category as indulgence sellers and rainmakers: opportunistic frauds who preyed on superstition and natural disasters respectively to separate honest people from their money.

An indulgence seller was a medieval charlatan who claimed the ability to sell people forgiveness for their sins, and thus excuse them from hundreds of years of penance in a conveniently invisible Purgatory. The rock group Kansas’s “Rainmaker,” an outstanding flash horror story, describes how charlatans preyed on desperate farmers during droughts. The story’s setting could well have been the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, which affected parts of Kansas as well as other states. The Dust Bowl, like climate change, was real; the rainmaker’s ability to make it go away in exchange for the last of the farmers’ money was not. The protagonist could well have been a previous incarnation of, for example, the leaders of

From the Flint Hills the land was cracked and dried
    Thirsty streets in misery
I took the sign down that said medicine man
Put one up that said rainmaker – that was me
So the townspeople gave me money up front
To light a fire – pray, and dance around
I’d convince them it’d rain so they’d all go to bed
And I’d make my break clean out of town *

This charlatan’s racket was far riskier than that of an indulgence seller or climate parasite. If the drought continued, the townspeople would, at best, demand their money back. Tar, feathers, and a ride out of town on a rail, or even a lynching, could have easily been on the table. If, on the other hand, the purchaser of an indulgence died and went to Purgatory, or even Hell, he was in no position to expose the seller as a charlatan and simoniac. If global warming continues despite purchases of carbon credits and offsets, there is no accountability whatsoever.

Climate Parasites Do Not Even Believe Their Own “Climate Science”

It is extremely unlikely that medieval indulgence sellers even believed in God, let alone Purgatory or Hell. If they did, they would not have dared to prey upon genuine believers by presuming to sell divine forgiveness. The behaviorof the climate parasites shows that they do not even believe their own story to the effect that carbon emissions cause global warming.

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports – or to Sweden – to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers. …The top hotels – all fully booked at £650 a night – are readying their Climate Convention menus of (no doubt sustainable) scallops, foie gras and sculpted caviar wedges.

Does anybody who is reading this article work for an employer that authorizes $1,000 a night for lodging, or first-class tickets, let alone a private jet, for business travel? This proves that the “climate summits,” and another was in the Mexican resort town of Cancun, are simply high-priced junkets and parties for the participants. It goes without saying that they are not paying their own way. Their use of private jets shows unequivocally that they do not believe for a moment that carbon dioxide emissions are any danger to planetary welfare.

On a final note, left-leaning Mid-Atlantic and New England states — Pennsylvania is fortunately not among them — have set up a Regional Greenhouse Gas Scam Initiative. If pay-more, get-less sinkholes like New York, and also California, do not want energy-intensive industries, thousands of unemployed or underemployed workers in other states will be delighted to take the corresponding high-wage jobs, and the carbon emissions that go with them. Those states should make every possible effort to encourage manufacturers and power companies to relocate.

    * I have the album, and the second to the last line of the posted lyrics are incorrect. It’s “convince them it’d rain,” not “tell them it’d rain.”

William A. Levinson, P.E. is the author of several books on business management including content on organizational psychology, as well as manufacturing productivity and quality.

    • This has taken center stage:

      Yeah, somebody pushed my button.

When politicians and scientists started calling people like me “deniers”, they crossed the line. They are still doing it.

They indirectly equate (1) the skeptics’ view that global warming is not necessarily all manmade nor a serious problem, with (2) the denial that the Nazi’s extermination of millions of Jews ever happened.

Too many of us for too long have ignored the repulsive, extremist nature of the comparison. It’s time to push back.

I’m now going to start calling these people “global warming Nazis”.

The pseudo-scientific ramblings by their leaders have falsely warned of mass starvation, ecological collapse, agricultural collapse, overpopulation…all so that the masses would support their radical policies. Policies that would not voluntarily be supported by a majority of freedom-loving people.

They are just as guilty as the person who cries “fire!” in a crowded theater when no fire exists. Except they threaten the lives of millions of people in the process.

Think what you will — he has a point!

      • “Except they threaten the lives of millions of people in the process”.

The actions of the Green Nazis amount to more than threats.

Green is just another scam to enrich the socio-paths that run the money system. Meanwhile 6.9 million kids die every year from preventable diseases and famine induced illnesses. Any rational moral being would think its reprehensible to “finance” these Green scams to get rich and then let the kids starve cuz there’s not enough money when they create the money OUT OF THIN AIR to “finance” the scams!!!

Obviously saving the kids comes down to money cuz, otherwise UNICEF & CARE & World vision wouldn’t be begging us to give $s so the kids can be saved. Bottom line: In the world of the Greenie Nazis it’s OK to starve 6.9 million kids a year cuz the money is better spent saving the planet…for whom? …not for 10’s of millions of dead kids we chose not to feed vs. build windfarms etc. and line pockets .

Who can claim more victims? The ruling socio-paths vs. Hitler’s NAZIs.
The anglo-bankers did launder gold teeth for Hitler to keep the war and extermination camps going (google: Banking with Hitler). So yea, NAZIs do come in different colours including Green.

    • At first it was global warming and that didn’t quite fit so the name was changed to climate change. The earth’s climate has been changing ever since the earth has had an atmosphere, billions of years. The government’s version of climate change, whenever the climate changes it is our fault.

      A little story.
There is this father, unfortunately an abusive father. He never hits his son but no matter what the kid does the father always tells him he is wrong, always a failure. Probably screwed the kid up for life.
How is the government any different than this abusive father?

    • For those who have not seen it:

      Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout

Our friend Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, went before the U.S. Senate yesterday to tell his story as it relates to global warming/climate change. It is well worth your time to read. WUWT readers may recall that since Dr. Moore has decided to speak out against global warming and for Golden Rice, Greenpeace is trying to disappear his status with the organization, much like people were disappeared in Soviet Russia.

Statement of Patrick Moore, Ph.D. Before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight

      February 25, 2014

“Natural Resource Adaptation: Protecting ecosystems and economies”

Chairman Whitehouse, Ranking Member Inhofe, and members of the Committee. Thank you for the opportunity to testify at today’s hearing.

In 1971, as a PhD student in ecology I joined an activist group in a church basement in Vancouver Canada and sailed on a small boat across the Pacific to protest US Hydrogen bomb testing in Alaska. We became Greenpeace.

Very much worth a read. There are links to the actual testimony.

  9. Many thanks Linda and Ella. It is our Christian duty to speak out against such injustice and speak for those who can’t. I have no doubt we will succeed in the end but, the tragedy is so many suffer in the mean time. Hopefully the Drennan case will be that turning point!!!!!!

  10. So far haven’t heard that any Christian denominations have helped the IWT victims here in Ontario and elsewhwere. Am I wrong about this?

    • Yes, I can say I know people doing work to help all with this issue and doing it based on their faith as a Christian.

  11. Please – don’t shoot!
This writer is just relaying what was heard:

would-be PC voters aren’t believing the
    “We’ll scrap the GEA” rhetoric.
It’s perceived as an election promise, similar to:
    “no new taxes.”

I’m not saying – I told you so.

    But – I do admit, I’m laughing.

The Progressive Conservative Party is alienating itself from its support base.
    And – doesn’t care???

Oh, well, Toby would be re-elected regardless of whether he’d be a PC.

  12. Ella,
When you consider the fact that Obama has little or no scientific education and has to rely on the advisors he has for policy then it becomes obvious why the U.S. is headed in the direction it’s heading.

Can’t find the quotation that Secretay Chu remarked that he, Chu, couldn’t keep the president’s attention on energy issues for more than about 10 minutes at a time.

  13. Barbara, you made me laugh this morning.

( insert that sarcasm icon here) Obummer has an education ? really? You mean that Chicago Thug type education?. The one that wants the good ole USA to drown in debt and take Canada with it ? Maybe he can’t focus more than 10 minutes because he’s got to watch his back, like they do in da’ hood.
Oops, better watch my words, the CIA might be a knock’in at my door telling me I’m a racist.

I haven’t heard any Christians taking any actions against IWT either, but they are starting to speak louder here, in a few different political arena’s. Which, mind you, has nothing to do with IWT’s, but it’s all so intertwined. That old saying, Oh the tangled webs we weave, when we’re trying to deceive.

    • I’ve attended dozens of IWT events involving thousands of people: protests, fundraisers and ERT / Divisional Court hearings.

I have only seen ONE person who appeared to be of Asian decent at any of these events:
Her name is Kathryn Chung, Crown Council for MAG and MOE, now working very hard to allow the Bow Lake wind project to proceed.

Clearly, there’s still a lot of work to do to engage many urban citizens on this matter.

  14. If you ask Mr. obama about some point of the law or some legal issue, he is prepared/educated to do this. But scientific issues are a different matter.

  15. But there are too many people who don’t understand that science is not one of Mr. Obama’s strong points.

    • Barbara, Does he have any strong points ?. From where I sit, he has done nothing for me or the USA, or our relationships with various countries, including Canada.

I don’t want to beat this subject here, because I come here for info on IWT’s. I watch to see what they are doing to Ontario, while the Nexterror is right in my front yard doing the same thing!

However, some last words on him. Since his ‘rule’ of the USA, I no longer have health insurance and am paying more taxes than ever ! I watch every one of those darn turbine pieces pass my home on a daily basis. Then I get to watch them in my front yard every day, and they are 7 miles away !
I can tell you when they are spinning without looking out my windows. I’m very sensitive to them.

I’m definitely not knocking you at all, let me make that clear.

  16. All of what you say is true and the same will happen in Ontario. And the reason why people need to work together as this is international.
Information needs to be exchanged too.

  17. Ella,
As an example, rural Ontarians know what is going on with Pattern Energy in Ocotillo, CA.
So it would be interesting to know the proceedures that NextEra used to get IWTs into your area.

    • Off the top of my head,
One of the local lawyers, named John Mcquillan, (not sure if that is spelt correctly) Did all the Wind Ordinances for many of the townships in Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac Counties. We figure he’s in bed with the wind industry.
Another- in bed – is the Spicer Group, out of Saginaw Michigan.

Many silent contracts at kitchen tables. Their best use was to tell the contract holders to be absolutely silent about what was going on. Contracts were signed pre-2008 with the instructions to keep quiet. And they did keep quiet.

There’s a paper that I was privy to which was a “boys club” of our township that we got ahold of in 2011-12.
I’ll see if I can round it up and show you what they did to keep it silent. I used my copy a while ago to counter-point during a township meeting.

This “boys club” paper read like a Nazi term paper.

Our township dropped J. Mcquillan, and Spicer Group.

  18. Election Year 2014 – get rid of your ‘green’ mayor!

Third Largest Power Company in the World is the Third Largest Recipient of Risky Loans

“[excerpt] Through this special series on green-energy crony-corruption, we’ve been highlighting specific examples of green-energy loan guarantees and grants. What connects each of these cases is that they received fast-tracked approval from the Department of Interior (DOI) for their projects. Of course, they also have many other dots that connect, such as key players with White House visits, raising funds for Democratic campaigns, and serving within government agencies such as the Department of Energy (DOE) or as an appointed member to President Obama’s Job’s Council.

Now we come to the last of our “special seven” series. Like those before it, it contains many inside players and funding from various “stimulus” government programs. While Lewis Hay (the CEO of NextEra Energy) with his White House involvement and friendship with former Florida Governor Charlie Crist make for some juicy details in the NextEra story, we’ll begin with a brief background that will help put this next piece of the green-energy crony-corruption scandal in perspective.’

    ………and, there’s more!

  23. Ella, Looked at the website you gave.

Ella, Looked at the website and didn’t see any indication that this organization is looking into IWT issues as deeply as OWR is doing. They may know about the people behind the scenes but aren’t sharing this information with the public?

In any event you could share information with people in your own area.

    • They may know about the people behind the scenes but aren’t sharing this information with the public?

…………….I think it’s a matter of funds available……….iiccusa has been involved in what has been happening in the Ludington Mi. Wind Park in Mason County where the residents and County officials are dealing with noise violations.

This is our local organization……………… which was put together about 2 years ago. The guy that runs this website isn’t as hard hitting as I would be. But, it was done to show the community we didn’t want what was happening to the north and east of us. It did work, to inform people, and left us with a grass roots stance in our township. They gathered 240 signatures against wind development -to- 18 for wind development. Of course those 18 where ALL contract holders. Everything to the north and east are Nexterror. The contracts in our township were -supposedly- canceled and they were through Invenergy.

Conversation……… our township commissioner calls Invenergy rep. after local gossip that

contracts where cancelled. She says, yeah, but not all……… haven’t seen her at a meeting since then and she was coming to every meeting. To me, this means nothing though. I don’t trust them at all.

Thanks Barbara, for all the links and info. : )

  24. It’s difficult to be hard-hitting when you don’t have the needed information.

As far as I can determine, there are no IWTs where the head honcho of NextEra lives. Google maps & photos show this.
