Plympton-Wyoming residents asking for more public meetings

A provincial government decision to allow Suncor Energy to change its Cedar Point wind energy proposal, without holding a public meeting, is being questioned in Plympton-Wyoming.

Suncor is awaiting provincial environmental approval to build a 46-turbine wind farm in Plympton-Wyoming, Lambton Shores and Warwick Township. The company recently filed changes to its plans for a collector line, access road, transmission line route, as well as revising a temporary staging area and updating a noise assessment report.

Suncor said the changes addressed comments in the province’s technical review of the project, and also moves a planned transmission line to avoid a newly-evaluated, provincially-significant wetland. Read article
