  1. Don’t know about a “string of incidents”. this is the first report of vandalism I am aware of in the area. I do note that CTV failed to report instances of self inflicted damage like toppling cranes, poorly constructed leaning towers and other shoddy construction and safety practices.
The message from CTV couldn’t be more clear, wind development is a “progressive: positive step forward, any opposition is regressive and uninformed.Any objective reporting is not to be found on CTV.

  2. See the construction of the K2 Wind Project is a “Joint Venture” between Amec and Black & McDonald, same as at Clear Creek/Cultus/Frogmore (Erie Shores Phase 2) in Norfolk County, where Mr. Mike Crawley and AIM PowerGen devastated the community.

I wonder if K2 will be forging their Quality Control checklists too?

    How would y’ know?

  3. Another perspective about wind energy damages:

“As time goes by more and more acousticians will come to understand the reasons why so many peoples lives are devastated by wind farms being built in their environment. Mr. Palmer has added further insight into what’s happening. I have no doubt there is more to come, sooner rather than later, that will assist in nailing down and finally identifying scientifically what impacted residents know from real life experience and what so many vested interests determinedly ignore. When that happens the flood gates for compensation will open and rightly so. History clearly demonstrates, for those in the western world, that wrongdoing of the magnitude occurring by building wind farms that damage and assault other human beings brings with it long and relentless pursuit of legal redress and retribution against willing perpetrators — thalidomide and asbestos come to mind. Any wind farm proponent that seeks new approvals from here on in, in the light of recent revelations, can expect to spend the rest of the lives being pursued for damages and quite probably criminal offences based on reckless indifference to human life and well being.”

  4. Below my comments there’s a copy of what was posted as a comment on the CTV site. Why should I do all that typing when Mary has pretty well said it for me.

I will add – before Harper makes it illegal to be sympathetic to ‘terrorists’, that I admire the person who had the courage to fight back in the only way left to us. We’ve tried the ‘proper channels’ – the courts and tribunals but we were out-voted – they had more dollars/votes than we did. The ‘proper channels’ have shown themselves to be ‘Australian’ (kangaroo) in nature.

Many of us consider that the gov’t has lost all right to be considered legitimate. More and more we are realizing that there is a huge difference between what is legal and what is just. More and more of us are wrestling with our rights and obligations when the PTB (powers that be) treat us with contempt.

We’ve all heard the meme, “When they came for the Jews, I said nothing, because I wasn’t a Jew…”

The longer we wait before we start to speak up, the fewer there will be left to speak – and the farder it will be to be heard.

Wind is just one of many issues. There is also water, climate change, tar sands, GMOs, Roundup, homelessness, censorship, FIPA, and the list goes on. We need to all examine our consciences and decide for ourselves how long we will put up with being abused and poisoned so that billionaires can get even more disgustingly wealthy.

Please note that I am speaking in general terms – sort of ‘hypothetically’. Technically, at least, I am not promoting vandalism or sabotage. I am encouraging people to realize that the PTB are not on our side. Think about your responsibilities to your family, friends, community. If you can come up with creative ideas to fight back and still stay out of jail, I’d love to hear them.

I now turn the keyboard over to Mary for a few closing words.

Vandalism, like terrorism, occurs when people are frustrated beyond their capacity to cope with a certain set of circumstances. Not everyone has the same tolerance for abuse, and while most avoid confronting the situation, a certain percentage of the population doesn’t flee but fights. As the financial-industrial sector forcing inefficient, economically damaging, dangerous faux clean energy systems down the throats of citizens around the globe continues it’s irresponsible expansion, resistance continues to build. Ignorant and sometimes compromised or financially conflicted public officials are more than happy to take a handout from these corporate scammers at the expense of their friends, family, neighbors and others. Unfortunately, law enforcement should prepare for things to escalate as government’s continue to ignore citizens, defraud taxpayers, harm human health, destroy the environment and disallow redress for harm on behalf of a useless and supplemental form of energy that is more effective at garnering or hiding money than it is at generating electricity.
